Rooftop Ceremony and High Tides in Anna Maria Island, FL

Some weddings stay with you for more than just how beautiful they looked—they stay with you because of what they meant personally. Krystle and Ryan’s wedding at The Rod & Reel Resort was one of those days for me. Knowing Krystle is a photographer herself made this wedding especially meaningful, because being trusted by another creative to document such an important day carries a weight I take very seriously. I gave this wedding everything I had. The weather definitely challenged us, with rain threatening much of the day, but instead of settling, we stayed patient and waited for the right opportunity—and that decision led to some of the most challenging yet rewarding beachside wedding images I’ve created to date. The colors the sky gave us, the mood of the weather, and the atmosphere of the entire day created something truly special that perfect sunshine simply couldn’t have replicated. And beyond the artistry, Krystle and Ryan were just incredibly fun to work with—the kind of couple that makes pushing creatively feel exciting.
