Sophia’s pre-quince session at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, FL was definitely one of those shoots where the location does a lot of the work for you.
Gaylord Palms is absolutely beautiful. Between the grand interiors, dramatic architecture, and all the different views throughout the property, we had plenty of places to create something different with Sophia. It gave the session that elevated, almost destination-like feeling without ever leaving Central Florida.
Sophia and her family brought such a fun energy to the day. They were easygoing, welcoming, and honestly just a lot of fun to be around. I especially enjoyed getting to spend time with a Spanish-speaking family and seeing how much excitement everyone had for Sophia’s upcoming quinceañera. There was plenty of laughing, joking, and celebrating throughout the session, which made photographing them feel very natural.
Sophia herself was fantastic in front of the camera. We were able to create a variety of portraits that felt elegant while still showing her personality and the excitement of this important milestone. A pre-quince session is such a fun opportunity to really slow down and create those beautiful portraits before the big celebration arrives.
And yes… parking was $25 😂 But after seeing the hotel and everything we were able to do there, I have to say it was worth it. The staff was also wonderful and made the whole experience even better.
I'm really glad I got to photograph Sophia and spend the day with her family. Now we just need the quinceañera to get here! 🎉
